Final project conference held in Budapest

On the 13 June, the Together for Fertility project reached a significant milestone with its final dissemination event held at the Directorate of Health and Social Services (ESZII) in Kecskemét, Hungary. The event brought together more than 30 national participants, including district nurses and healthcare professionals, along with two international experts from the Progress Consult network.

The event kicked off with an introduction to the project and its international partnership. This was followed by two key thematic presentations. The first focused on the book Journey to Parenthood - A Simple guide to Fertility, a valuable resource designed to assist nurses in educating others about fertility. The second presentation addressed the booklet on communicating health information to people with lower basic skills, a crucial tool for improving health communication in diverse communities.

In addition to these presentations, external experts shared insights on cervical cancer and the importance of health screening, further enriching the event’s agenda. Each session included time for questions, feedback, and discussions, allowing participants to engage deeply with the material presented.

The feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive. Healthcare professionals expressed significant interest in the book Journey to Parenthood - Your Simple guide to Fertility, particularly for its relevance in their work with secondary school students on topics such as fertility and family planning. To ensure the resources are easily accessible, attendees were provided with QR codes linking directly to the project’s Hungarian-language publications.

The success of the event is reflected in the interest shown by the Directorate of Health and Social Services in organizing another session in September for a different target group. This additional event underscores the relevance and impact of the project’s outputs, particularly the booklet and guidebook. The project team also utilized social media platforms to further disseminate the event's outcomes and resources.

This event in Kecskemét is closely linked to the international workshop held later in June in Valladolid, Spain, which also focused on disseminating the project's results to a broader audience. Together, these events have ensured that the valuable resources developed through the "Together for Fertility" project are shared widely, both within Hungary and across Europe.
