Together for Fertility on EBSN International Conference in Spain

On the 27 June, the Together for Fertility project made its mark on the international stage with a dissemination workshop held during the EBSN Annual Conference at the University of Valladolid, Spain. The workshop, titled "Health Service Development through Integrating Adult Basic Skills – Experiences from the Field," was presented by Zoltán Várkonyi and attended by 10 international participants, including education experts and trainers.

The workshop provided an opportunity to present the main results, outputs, and achievements of the Together for Fertility project to an international audience. Participants engaged in a productive discussion about the challenges and strategies for reaching adults with low basic skills, particularly in the context of health information and literacy.

The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged the exchange of ideas and best practices, particularly regarding the development of health literacy programs and services tailored to adults with low basic skills. The presentation, which is available for download from the conference website, served as a valuable resource for attendees, sparking interest and dialogue on this critical topic.

This international event is closely tied to the final dissemination event held earlier in June in Kecskemét, Hungary. While the Kecskemét event focused on local healthcare professionals, the workshop in Valladolid extended the project’s impact to a broader, international audience, ensuring that the project’s outputs and insights are shared across different contexts and regions.

Together, these two events highlight the success of the Together for Fertility project in achieving its goals of improving health communication and literacy, both within Hungary and across Europe. The project’s resources, including the book Journey to Parenthood - A Simple Guide to Fertility and the booklet on health communication, continue to be valuable tools for professionals and educators alike.

We are excited about the opportunity this event provided - sharing knowledge and experiences gained through the Together for Fertility project internationally!
