Coaching Skills and Practices - Wings for Roda 4th mobility course
Thanks to the Wings 4 Roda project, we were able to participate in the Coaching Skills&Practices course from 1 to 5 May 2023. The course took place in Vienna and was organized by ALP.
Since Vienna is relatively close to Zagreb, we traveled by bus the day before the start of the course and stayed at the Donauwalzer Hotel thanks to the recommendation of Irene, our course leader. The hotel charmed us at first sight! The wonderful building on the corner is additionally distinguished by its blue color, and the modern interior nevertheless exudes a tradition that began, as we later found out, at the beginning of the 20th century.
The Coaching Skills&Practices course was held by Irene Rojnik, who has been coaching for several years, for which she completed two years of education. Always smiling and cheerful, she introduced the different tools used in coaching through our small international group of Polish, Romanian and Croatian women, engaging us differently every day in conversations, drawing, making up stories and even ball games! She did not allow the sometimes challenging exchange of different levels of knowledge of the English language to become a problem, but cheerfully helped out with her hands and feet if needed.
In such an atmosphere, five days of the course passed quickly, and even though we were busy every day from 9 to 5:30 in the afternoon, we did not lack strength and will to see the city and enjoy the Sacher cake and other specialties of Austrian cuisine.
Although we did not become experts in coaching, this course gave us a broader knowledge of the topic, and we will certainly continue to use the tools learned in our business and private lives.
Erasmus + courses are excellent opportunities for personal and business growth, and we are grateful they exist!
