Praise for Pregnant - Your Friendly Guide to the Next Twelve Months
This great book includes everything a woman usually thinks of during pregnancy and around childbirth. Even reading the title itself fills you with peace of mind and opens up a promising, loving perspective that would be essential to a healthy pregnancy. I'm sure that using this book cover-to-cover will make many pregnant women - so babies, families, and I dare to say society - more peaceful than without this book! Thanks to the authors and congratulations!

This is just the book we have been looking for! As childbirth educators and doulas, we have often struggled to find well-rounded, easy to comprehend, accurate, and affirming information for our clients. This book is what has been missing from our library. We will be recommending it to all our clients so they can calmly navigate their pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience. Thank you for putting the power of education and choice back into the hands of families.

This handbook is a positive addition to how-to books on pregnancy and the post-partum period. It is clear, concise, easy to use, pleasant to read, and full of interesting data and accurate information spanning actors a wide range of motherhood-related topics at the same time. It is very useful that the book does not stop at the end of pregnancy, but includes breastfeeding and the first three months of the baby’s life! The layout and graphics of the book are very well designed, beautiful to look at, and have a calming effect, both because they are of a high quality visually and also because they are so well organized in a clear and systematic manner. The bullet format is very user-friendly. One can concentrate on what on what to read, even skip parts and return to them later or whenever one wants to. It is amazing too that so many people and agents from different countries have managed to collaborate and produce a result of such high quality!
Myrto Chronaki, Post-doctoral Researcher, Doula and La Leche Leader (Greece)

This allows for informed choices and consent. The chapters “Try this”, “Take-away messages” repeat the most important points and suggestions. The book supports and encourages the readers to decide for their own way. For further reading it gives an interesting list of books. The authors of this book use wisdom and a dose of humor to guide expectant families through pregnancy, birth and postpartum, giving sage advice based on scientific evidence, highlighting the challenges and joys of pregnancy and parenthood. Today, when the majority of women are giving birth in hospitals, where medication and interventions are widely used often without sound evidence, this book’s refreshing approach focuses on women and will surely change the way women think about childbirth, helping them to make decisions on their companions, birth plan and place of birth. This book is a must-read for every woman who is pregnant or planning to become pregnant, every midwife, nurse, doula, doctor – anyone who attends women during pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
